For iPhone

Sidelight: Baby Feed Timer

Which side next? One tap starts the timer on the left or the right, and Sidelight shows which side you used last. Bottle, pump, sleep and diapers take one tap too, so a 3 a.m. feed stays a one-thumb job.

Free to download. The timers, the log and the history are free, for good.

How it works

One tap. The right side, remembered.

Built for the feed where you have one free hand and no patience for menus.

Free, and an optional Plus

Pay once, if you want more.

  • The daily tool is free

Feed, bottle, pump, sleep and diaper logging, the next-side hint, history, the Live Activity and the widgets cost nothing. No time limit, no ads.

  • Sidelight Plus

A one-time purchase that adds trends and daily charts, a PDF report to bring to the pediatrician, an interactive start-a-feed widget, feed-due reminders and alternate app icons.

  • No pressure while you feed

The purchase screen opens only when you tap a Plus feature or the Plus entry in Settings. Never in the middle of a feed.

Private

Your log stays on your iPhone.

  • No account, no servers of ours

Feeds, sleep and diapers are saved only on your iPhone. There is nothing to sign up for, and we never receive your log.

  • No ads, no analytics, no tracking

No ad networks, no analytics tools, no tracking. One thing is recorded: if you buy Plus, Apple processes the payment and our purchase service, RevenueCat, records the purchase against an anonymous ID so we can count sales. Privacy policy

  • You decide what to share

Your log leaves the phone only when you export or share it yourself, as a CSV or a PDF.

Not medical advice

A timer, not a pediatrician.

Sidelight is a timer and log for your own records. It is not a medical device and gives no medical advice or feeding recommendations. The next-side hint only reminds you which side you used last. Talk to your pediatrician, midwife or lactation consultant about feeding and sleep, and call your doctor or emergency number if you are worried about your baby.

Questions

FAQ

What is free, and what costs money?

The feed, bottle, pump, sleep and diaper logging, the next-side hint, history, editing and undo, the Live Activity, the widgets, Siri and CSV export are free, with no time limit and no ads. Sidelight Plus is a one-time purchase ($3.99 in the US) that adds trends, a pediatrician PDF report, an interactive start-a-feed widget, feed-due reminders and alternate app icons. There is no subscription.

How does the next-side hint work?

Sidelight looks at your most recent breastfeed and suggests the side opposite to the one you used last. It is a reminder based on your own log, not advice. Bottles and pump sessions don't change it.

Where is my data stored?

Only on your iPhone. There is no account and no server of ours, so there is no sync between devices. If you back up your iPhone to iCloud or to a computer, the backup can include your log, like other app data. The privacy policy has the details, including what the purchase service records.

Does it work without internet?

Yes. Logging, the timers, the widgets and the Live Activity all work offline. You only need a connection to buy or restore Plus.

Which languages and devices?

The app is in English and Spanish, on iPhone with iOS 26 or later.

One thumb,
3 a.m.

Install it before the baby arrives, so it's there for the first feed.
