How do I time a contraction?

Tap the big button when a contraction starts, and tap it again when it ends. Wavelet shows how long it lasted, the gap since the one before, and the count and averages for the last hour.

I tapped too late, or forgot to tap.

Tap Undo to take back the last tap. To fix a time, tap Started … under the timer, or open the list and swipe a contraction to Edit its start or end. Tap Add to enter a contraction you didn't time.

How do I set the rule my provider gave me?

Tap the rule at the top of the timer screen, or go to Settings → Rule. Choose 5-1-1, 4-1-1, 3-1-1, 4 in 10 minutes, or enter your own numbers. Wavelet then shows whether your contractions match that pattern, as a fact. It doesn't tell you what to do.

How do I turn on night mode?

Tap the moon at the top of the timer screen, or use Settings → Night mode. The whole app turns red on black.

Can I start and stop from the Lock Screen?

Yes. While a session is open, the Live Activity shows the timer on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, with a button to start or stop. You can also add Wavelet's control to Control Center or the Lock Screen: edit Control Center (or customise the Lock Screen), tap Add a Control and search for Wavelet. If the Live Activity doesn't appear, check that Live Activities are allowed in iOS Settings → Wavelet.

What is the "Still timing?" notification?

A reminder in case you forgot to stop a contraction. Set how many minutes it waits in Settings → Remind me after. In the same place you can turn on a notice for when your rule's pattern is met. To turn all notifications off, use iOS Settings → Notifications → Wavelet.

How do I start a new session?

Open the list and tap End session. The session stays in History, and the next contraction starts a new one.

How do I send my log to my midwife or doctor?

Open the list and tap the share button to send the session as plain text. This is free. With the Labor & Newborn Pack you can also export a PDF from Details and PDF, with the timeline, the last-hour stats and a title you choose. Every export includes the disclaimer.

What does the Labor & Newborn Pack cost?

$5.99 in the US, paid once. It's not a subscription. Everything else in the app is free. The App Store shows the price for your country.

I bought the pack, but PDF export is locked (new iPhone, reinstall).

Go to Settings → Restore Purchases. Make sure the iPhone is signed in to the same Apple Account that bought the pack, and that it's online. After that, the pack works offline.

How do I get a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, and choose the purchase.

Where is my log stored? Can you recover it?

Only on your iPhone. There is no account and no server, so we can't see or recover your log. If you back up your iPhone to iCloud or a computer, the backup can include it, and restoring that backup brings it back. Read the Privacy Policy.

How do I delete my data?

Swipe a contraction in the list and tap Delete. To remove everything, delete the app.

Which devices are supported?

iPhone with iOS 26 or later.

Does it work without internet?

Yes. Everything works offline. Only buying or restoring the pack needs a connection.
